Cash flow

See money coming in and going out, with a running balance.

Cash flow shows how much money actually moved, and where that leaves you. Open Reports and click Cash Flow.

What you see

Period Summary shows Cash In, Cash Out, Net Cash Flow and Closing Balance for the dates you picked. A Trend chart puts the months side by side, and By Month lists Cash In, Cash Out, Net and Running Balance for each one.

Cash in is the payments you received, security deposits included. Cash out is the expenses you recorded.

This report goes by the date money moved. For a cleaner view of profit, use the income statement. Rent you're still owed doesn't show up here until it's paid; for that, see Receivables aging.

Change what you see

Set the From and To dates or pick a Property at the top, and use Export CSV or Export PDF to take the figures with you.

If the page says there's no cash movement, record a payment or an expense, or widen the dates.

The rent roll

Every rent month for every lease, with what is due, paid and still owing.

Deposits held

See how much security deposit money you're holding for your tenants.
