The notification bell

See what's happened in your workspace without digging through email.

The bell sits at the top of every workspace page, right next to the search box. When something needs your attention, a small red number shows how many notices you haven't read yet.

What shows up

If you're a workspace owner or manager, you'll see a notice when:

  • someone sends a pre-screening or a full application
  • a tenant files a maintenance request (urgent ones are marked in red)
  • a tenant's rent becomes overdue
  • a tenant submits or signs an inspection report
  • a tenant signs a lease, declines to sign, or everyone has signed
  • a tenant replies to one of your messages

Tenants with portal access have a bell too. They see a notice when you record a payment for them.

Read your notices

Click the bell. Your newest notices are at the top, and unread ones have a blue line on the left.

Click a notice to go straight to the application, request, lease or message it's about. It's marked as read at the same time.

Want a clean slate? Click Mark all as read.

The bell checks for new notices about once a minute while the page is open, so you don't need to refresh.

Everyone on the team gets their own copy of each notice. Marking one as read only clears it for you.

Turn notices off

Owners can choose which notices show up in the bell. Open Settings, then Notifications, and untick the box in the Team: In-app column for anything you don't want. For tenants, it's the Tenants: In-app column. You'll find a shortcut at the bottom of the bell, too.

Turning off an in-app notice doesn't change the matching email, and the other way round. Quiet mode only pauses email to tenants, so your bell keeps working while it's on.
