Move-in and move-out days
Record the day a tenant really moved in or out, when it differs from the lease.
Tenants don't always move on the exact day the lease says. Record the real days and your records will match what actually happened.
Record a move-in day
Open the lease and find Start date on the Overview tab.
Click the pencil beside Moved in, choose the day and click Save.
You can also fill in Moved in on (optional) when you create the lease.
Record a move-out day
Once a lease has ended, the pencil beside Moved out works the same way. If the day's different from when the tenancy ended, the page shows both, like "Tenancy ended 30 Sep 2026, moved out 29 Sep 2026".
These days are just a record. They don't change any rent, deadline or lease status. You can't pick a day in the future, and Clear removes a day you've entered.
