View payment history

Review the complete payment ledger for a tenancy.

Accessing payment history

You can view payment history in two places:

  • Per tenancy — open a lease and go to the Payments tab. This shows all payments, balances, and rent periods for that tenancy.
  • Workspace overview — go to Payments for a cross-property view of all recent payments and outstanding balances.

What you see

The payment history shows:

ColumnDescription
DateWhen the payment was received
AmountThe amount recorded
TypeRent, deposit, late fee, or other
MethodBank transfer, cash, cheque, credit card, debit card, online, or other
BalanceRemaining balance for that rent period
ReferenceOptional reference number you provided

Rent periods

OneRental groups payments by rent period (typically monthly). Each period shows its expected amount, what was received, and any outstanding balance.

Exporting

Click Export CSV on the Payments page to download the full payment ledger for your workspace — useful for tax filing or handing off to an accountant or bookkeeper. The CSV includes the same columns shown in the table above, plus the tenant, unit, and property for each payment.

To export payments for a single tenancy only, use Payments CSV on that lease's detail page instead.
