Locked files and why

Why some files can't be renamed or deleted, and how to change them.

Some files in your library have a small padlock. They're locked so the records you might need later, like a receipt or a signed agreement, can't be changed by accident.

Files OneRental made

Receipts and invoices you open, leases signed in OneRental and fully signed inspection reports are saved to Files for you. They show Added by: System and a padlock that reads "Locked. Added by OneRental, cannot be changed or deleted."

You can still View File and Download them, but Edit Details and Delete aren't offered.

Receipts and invoices are built once, so opening one again shows you the same document. When a payment's refunded, its receipt stays in your files, marked as replaced, so the original record is never erased.

A lease agreement you uploaded

An agreement attached to a lease is locked too. Its padlock says "Agreement of a lease. Change or remove it on that lease's page." Click Open the lease under its name to get there.

Anything else you've uploaded yourself isn't locked, and you can edit or delete it from the ... menu. See The file library.
